Advertising disclaimer-
This site currently displays advertising. We are in the process of offering various advertising sections on the site. The layout of this can be found here. The ads depicted here are broken down into the following: Contest Ads- companies providing a prize for a contest in exchange for an ad for a limited amount of time, Google/Amazon ads- of which the site has no control of what is displayed but has no influence on content posted on this site & Ads created by this site- which can be the hosting provided by this site and a link to our advertising packages. We are soon also offering a "T1P marketplace" which is a small directory listing featuring text links for any service provided by members of this site. The listing could for any product or service related or unrelated to the purpose of this site. All links in the marketplace will be free of charge and listings will be posted based on category and alphabetically. At no time will any content on this site be influenced by any advertiser and/or sponsor- with the exception being factual information about that product. (ex physical dimension of certain product being listed inaccurately). All advertising outside of the "T1P Marketplace" page will have a small advertising graphice posted directly above it. 

General Visitor Disclaimer-
Access to type1parents is limited to unregistered visitors. Unregistered visitors are not required to submit any information to type1parents. To enjoy the full benefits of type1parents, Visitors are encouraged to join the membership through our registration process. However, we ask that those potential members be one of the following: parent, grandparent or caregiver of a child with diabetes or person with diabetes themselves. If you have a product you would like to advertise a product or service, please CONTACT US before registering and posting.

Funding Disclaimer-
This site is completely paid for by the owners of the site, Chris and Kellie DelVecchio with some funding provided from the sale of diabetes related TShirts/products in our store. There are plans for future advertising funds to be collected which also go to offset costs for this website. All staff members including moderators, are all volunteers and are not medical professionals.

Member Privacy/Security Disclaimer-
By registering, visitor is asked to agree to Registration Agreement and also provide the following information:

• Valid email- A working email address is required so that members could contact one another. Members have the option to select to keep this private. The only other people who have this information is the Administration. At no time will the Administration share or sell this information to a Third Party.
• Username- This is a series of letters and/or numbers used to identify each member. The Username is chosen by each member to allow access to member area.
• Password- in addition to username, a member will be required to create a password for above username. This is also generated by each member that verifies the username. This series of letters/numbers can be changed at anytime by member. Administration does not have direct access to password and can only change password. Forgotten passwords can be system generated to be emailed to user or ask a specific question/answer set by member upon registering. Members are asked to keep this information private.

As stated, members are asked to agree to Registration Agreement. The Agreement covers the above points and also states the following:


• You agree, through your use of this forum, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, adult material, or otherwise in violation of any International or United States Federal law.
• You remain solely responsible for the content of your posted messages. Furthermore, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the owners of this forum, any related websites to this forum, its staff, and its subsidiaries. The owners of this forum also reserve the right to reveal your identity (or any other related information collected on this service) in the event of a formal complaint or legal action arising from any situation caused by your use of this forum.
• You will be able to fill out a detailed profile. This is not required but is encouraged. We only ask any information that you choose to enter is truthful. Because of the nature of this website, all members must have some connection to the disease known as Diabetes. This connection can be firsthand (having the condition) or secondhand (being the caretaker of a diabetic person or persons). Medical information voluntarily provided by member is only accessible by registered members of website and will never be shared with any Third Party representative.
• Please note that with each post, your IP address is recorded, in the event that you need to be banned from this forum or your ISP contacted. This will only happen in the event of a major violation of this agreement.
• Also note that the software places a cookie, a text file containing bits of information (such as your username and password), in your browser's cache. This is ONLY used to keep you logged in/out. The software does not collect or send any other form of information to your computer. Again, the Administration will not share any member information received with any Third Party.
• The staff/moderators of this site reserve the right to remove any information deemed dangerous and user that supplies  such information. However, it is our policy to never ban or remove a member unless that member has first put in a request to be removed. We also reserve the right to purge any unused, false, duplicate or inactive accounts.   

The above information is fully disclosed and must be agreed to before any registration information will be collected and approved by Administration.
