I think many women feel torn to some degree or another no matter what we choose to do. I am sure the girls will love having you home!

  • Andrea, I think you are doing a *brave* thing.  You are following your heart, and I commend you for it!  And if you can make it on one salary with a little creative shopping and mommy-ing, I think you will ultimately LOVE the chance to do your schooling in a more calm environment while the girls are at school.

I know that you're probably nervous, but I'm excited for you.  Despite the money crunches & crazy days, I'm so glad to be home with my kids.

  • Sounds like giving your notice is the best thing to do at the moment. And having the option to come back if necessary is great! Everything will work out.
At times you may feel yourself to be the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities. Try not to judge them-things aren't always what they seem. And it could be worse. You could be them!

  • Yesterday I put in my notice.  My last working day is next Friday.  A little scared, but not sad at all... I think that tells me I am doing the right thing.

Took Katy to the Doc yesterday as requested for her recurrent strep throat... as suspected he wanted to refer her to the ENT... the nurse comes tell us when we'd have our appt... she said the ENT is here today (since we're an outter clinic specialists will travel once a month) and he wants to see her today... in fact after discussing the case with our doc he told his nurses to find a place to slide her in...

so back to clinic in the afternoon... on their scale of 0-4 she is a 2 borderline 3... there is great concern, especially with the underlying asthma... he believes they need to come out immediately... so on the 28th she will have her Tonsils and Adenoids out... can't do it sooner until she is finished her antibiotics for the current strep infection...

yeah, I think I did the right thing...
