  • Angela!   <roflmao> <roflmao>  What the heck did she say?

Well, once she found out that my kids got to eat pizza and chocolate chip cookies every once in a while, she agreed that yes, she thought having to be on the diet sounded worse, too.  ;) Her biggest concern was that my kids had to be poked 10-12 times per day vs. her 2-3.  (Sidenote: I still fail to see what 2-3x a day tells ANYONE.)

Her mom went on insulin a few years ago, I guess, after many years of struggling and feeling awful and has never felt better.  So she probably is a more "pro-insulin" person with type 2 exposure than you typically see.

  • There's a lady I work with at the food bank who was dx'd with "pre-diabetes" with numbers like those.  She asked me a lot of questions, and I very nicely told her that I was sorry to tell her that I didn't know much about the bad kind of diabetes, since we don't have to follow diets at our house. >:D We just give insulin.

I think i may have to steal this reply for future uses! That was an awesome response!!!  <bclap>
