Nothing is constant.  Right now we are in a smooth spot.
We pretty much have it going on.  No big surprises or struggles.
We are having some troubles, but confident it's short term.
We are overwhelmed and feel like we need some help.
Every day is a new challenge, but we feel confident in our ability.

Your take on this d life.
« on: January 27, 2012, 07:09:06 PM »
Just curious how people feel in general.

Feel free to post a comment, but it's not necessary.  Poll results do not identify who chose which answer.

If you feel there should be another option, either post it or PM me and I'll amend it.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be.  It's the way it is.  How you cope with it makes all the difference.

I would say a constant struggle esp in the night. I correct almost every nite at midnite. I know he is nibbling and stealing a bite here and there throughout the evening and it adds up. I am tired of nagging him. He is doing a GREAT job in all the other D issues. I am just correcting and going on. He is 16, in love (he thinks),and happy at the moment and I don't want to nag anymore, well, right now anyways.  I don't allow myself to feel too confident because there is a curve ball right around the corner just waiting.   :'( what worked yesterday will prob not work tomorrow.

Right now we're in a pretty smooth spot. I often have to make small corrections at night, but we mostly see numbers in the 100s.

We're struggling at the moment, with multiple illnesses and oral surgery all in the last 3 weeks.  The CGMS definitely helps, but I still feel like we're chasing highs and lows.  I changed his ratios again today, along with changing his lantus dose twice in the last 2 weeks.

I chose the last one- daily challenges but confident but that's as likely to change tomorrow as not.

Joe is cruising.  I'm not thrilled with his numbers and recognize he is going through an "I'm an adult and you can't tell me to test" area but he is doing good.

Everyday is a struggle but I know we will survive. We have good days and then we have days of "who the hell are you and what did you do with my sweet, loving, responsible daughter"
