  • We've been discussing this; nonetheless, it is an encouraging development. Nanotech should help bypass the subcutaneous injections but I suppose SMBG and CGM have no options.

  • I have hopes that nanotech will help completely remove the need for shots, since it will allow insulin to be administered orally.

    I have been reading Dr Robert Venables' 'Practical Treatise on Diabetes', which he published in 1825, nearly 100 years before Banting and Best and insulin. Venables was a successul and much respected physician in his time, and he was of the opinion that diabetes originated in the kidneys.

    And from that to nanotech has been a quantum jump! God bless our children and keep them well.
