  • Some of ya know I did the ice bucket challenge for ALS

of course the deal is- to do the challenge or pony up $100 bucks
and even people doing it are donating- so much that ALS usually raises I believe 35k during the past 2 weeks but because of the ice bucket challenge- they raised about 10 million.

Soooo- we really should do something for T1P
    Looking for ideas

    anyone?

  • When this went viral I thought, wouldn't it be great if d had somethin just as viral.

But the problem is the stigma. ALS isn't considered self inflicted

  • I thought the same thing, but not sure what to do. The perfect thing would be to do something that's related to type 1, but that's not always available or easy. I think the ice bucket challenge is only working because it's easy to do. Unfortunately I have no ideas  :-\

  • I'd love to throw this out there..
My name is Kris Bruesehoff and in 2010 I was challenged to do the Jdrf ride to cure by Cole Bruesehoff.  I rode 100 miles on my bike in Burlington Vermont.  I challenge you to ride 100 miles at one of the amazing JDRF rides on the next year or donate to my rode account.
Lol!  Any takers?  The ride is amazing!

That was my thought as well. I can't even get our family members to donate $5 to my girls JDRF walk. Either people think we gave it to them or diabetes just isn't "that big of a deal."
