  • Sam has always worn a rubber medical bracelet and has never given me any grief over wearing it.  He is now wearing a watch regularly and it bothers him to wear both on the same arm.  He won't wear anything on the opposite arm...it bothers him.  He has asked to get a medical necklace instead.  Any suggestions on where to order one?  Do medics check necklaces as well as bracelets?  I prefer for him to wear the bracelet, but am willing to try a necklace if I can find a good one.

  • Medics definitely check necklaces--I've seen them do it.

This is one of my favorite places, but there are LOTS of companies out there (I've even ordered stuff on Amazon):

  • Both my boys have MedicAlert necklets.  They alternate between it and the bracelets.

I like MedicAlert, because they are clear what they are, and the first responders can call the 800 number to get all their medical info and our contact details.
We have the main stuff on the medic alert ID, but you can put a ton of stuff into their online record that is available to medical personnel when they call the 800 number.

  • Anthony wears Military Dog tags that I custom ordered - very reasonable and they came very fast. He was terrible about wearing anything and these he wears with no problem whatsoever
