  • Leslie I have none really.

I took the job as a medical assistant.  In UT you dont have to be certified theough school.  If you can find a Dr. Willing to train you can become an MA through working.  Which is what I have done.

The Dr. I work for is not an endo he is a ped who does diabetes.  He calls himself a diabetologist lol

So essentially i am working under the Dr. Training pumps in office.  I cant invite someone to my house and train them.

The reason I cant train medtronic is because they require the trainer to be a nurse, which i am not.

  • I have considered getting an MSW and becoming a CDE i am just not sure about that path.

I am content.  I dont do much other than just teach people to use their device.  But i do like being on the inside of new tech. Knowing what is coming down the line.

Animas submitted the vibe dor pediatric use a few months back.

Dexcom is working on doing away with the receiver and going straight to cell.
