  • Cassie - I was thrilled that he has a slide in his presentation of you!  He has a pick of the dex screen that you probably posted or sent to him that says KDA not DKA and he explained to the group what they meant - which got a laugh.  I saw that on the screen and I told Grant - that's Seth!!

All in all, a great workshop.  I'm eager to dive into the nitty-gritty of the book now to see what we can accomplish.

    Haha, we're famous! Lolol

I'm so glad it was worth the drive!  Seth and Jason use pieces and parts, but don't do the whole thing either.  Every little bit helps!

  • Follow his facebook for awhile- nice little digestible pieces.  Much easier to tackle than the book.  :)

  • I have the book and can't WAIT to read it, but I think I am going to wait. I am overwhelmed with everything I have going on already, don't think I can add one more thing.

Same here. I started it, but want to go slowly and take notes. Usually I'm a "speed skimmer" when I read, so that really puts a crimp in my style.  ::)

Michelle, so glad it was worth the effort! Like you said, following his method even part of the time is beneficial. Once you have a chance to read it, I'm curious to know how you think the book differs from learning it in person.

Did he have much to say about Sugar Surfing with young children? He does address it in the book, but it's the biggest thing I would have liked to learn more about in the live presentation.

  • Sarah May, he didn't address children specifically other than to say anyone can do it.  He showed dex screen of a 7 year old girl who is sugar surfing.

One thing he stressed (no matter age) is to start with wide margins and at the top range when you start playing with it.  He said he gradually has brought the level down over a long period of time.  You don't start practicing by giving a small dose of insulin for a 120 at 3am, but he does do that now after much, much practice at higher levels.

He also stressed that you shouldn't even begin to employ his sugar surfing strategies until you have basil absolutely correct.  Correct basil is key to start.  So we are going to do some basil testing over the next few days!
