Title: Endo appt
Post by: KaelynsMom on December 07, 2015, 09:01:08 PM
We had our Endo appt today. Those who are on my FB know that it was a ridiculously long wait for a very short appt. A1C was 7.2 which the lowest we have EVER been. And it was more than a point lower than our last. The only bad thing was that she checked out her belly where we have been doing pump sites and she is showing signs of hyperlipotrophy, so we have to switch back to her bum area again. Other than that she was happy with the changes I have been making and basically had no suggestions of changes. She also suggested hat we start coming every 4 months instead of every 3 as we don't need much help.

We had blood drawn for our follow up celiac test and if positive we will be referred to GI.

I think I spent the most time talking to her about Dr. Ponder and giving her flyers to put up for the workshop in February. I guess all in all the appt was good.

Yay!  Why only belly and bum for pump sites?  We use omnipod so we have more flexibility but I know people with tubed pumps use at least arms and legs also.

We reserve arms for dexcom. We have tried legs and they just have not worked for us. Constant highs when we try them.
